Flummoxed by FERPA? New website is here to help

What’s new with FERPA? Courtesy of the Dean of Students Office and the Registrar’s Office is a new website dedicated to everything FERPA: www.uwgb.edu/ferpa. What’s FERPA you say? The Family Education Right to Privacy Act (FERPA), or some may refer to it as the Buckley Amendment, is the federal law that governs the confidentiality of student records. A lot has changed in recent years both with the law and federal guidance for how to apply it. Please give it a look so you know what you can and cannot say, post or write about students.
