Wood Hall remodeling set to begin

Already broadcast campuswide but repeated here for the record and for the benefit of our off-campus readers: Effective Monday (Jan. 17) Wood Hall will be closed for public access. Crews will be on site late this week to mobilize and finish setting up their equipment. Asbestos abatement will occur on the first floor Monday through Friday the 21st. The only way to access the concourse system, if you are coming from the Wood Hall parking lot, will be via the Rose Hall plaza level and then downstairs.  The south sidewalk that borders Wood Hall and leads to the parking lot will be open for the duration of the project.  All of the moves scheduled for Wood Hall’s third and fourth floors will be completed by the end of the day, Friday, Jan. 21, according to Paul Pinkston, director of Facilities Planning and Management.
