UW-Green Bay student team to compete at the 2019 Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament

The UW-Green Bay student business Eir Apparel will be competing on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the 2019 Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament at Northwestern Mutual’s Cream City Labs in Milwaukee. Business Administration students Carol Brehmer, Matt Halbur  James Schierl and Design Arts student Ebanie Schmidt formed Eir Apparel to design a better belt than the typically used shoelace for those active in sports such as skateboarding. To qualify for the Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament, Eir Apparel placed third in the Spring 2019 UW-Green Bay Business Idea Contest and participated in the Innovation in Aging competition. The UW-Green Bay Community is invited to attend the Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament as a guest of the UW-Green Bay entrepreneurship program by registering by Monday, April 8, 2019. The event is free at attend. For more information on the Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament, Ideadvance for students, faculty, staff and alumni or the entrepreneurship program, please contact entrepreneurship lecturer Ryan Kauth at KauthR@uwgb.edu.
