‘Fourth Estate’ earns first place at WNA annual convention

The Fourth Estate on Friday won the first-place award for “General Excellence” among the state’s college weeklies at the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s annual convention. Also taking a first was the Fourth Estate entry in the best advertisement category (photographers). A second place went to Brandon Langer and staff in the General Web Excellence category, and the photographers took a third place for coverage of the Phoenix appearance in last spring’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Current editor-in-chief is Megan Hanna. Faculty adviser is lecturer Hannah O’Brien of Communication.
