Lindmark runner-up in state Senior Open
UW-Green Bay Golf Coach Bill Lindmark ’81, finished three strokes away from taking the title at the Wisconsin State Senior Open on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 8-9. The Shorewood Golf Course Manager shot a two-day score of 71-73—144 to take second place in the over-50 event. Lindmark, who seems to be getting better with age — he finished sixth at the event two years ago — said he entered the tournament after some prodding from the men’s golf team members. “I’m glad I shot well. If I hadn’t, I probably never would have heard the end of it,” he said. The event was held at Mascoutin Golf Course in Berlin, Wis.
