How your U was front-page news in Beijing
Yes, that’s the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay represented in Bejing, China, in October. Admissions out-of-state and international recruiter Molly (McHugh) Witt spent much of October on the road with trips to China and South Korea. Her efforts are, in part, related to a move announced at the University’s annual fall convocation to step up efforts to internationalize the campus and diversify the student body and its experiences.
She was surprised to find herself on the front page of one of Beijing’s daily newspapers. The photo depicted an international college fair. Witt, a 2005 UW-Green Bay graduate, gained experience in international recruiting while working in UW-Green Bay’s Office of International Education as an undergraduate. She also worked for UW-Oshkosh’s international education office before returning to her alma mater in July 2008.
