Photos: A picture-perfect day for UW-Green Bay’s 2017 Spring Commencement
It was a picture-perfect day for UW-Green Bay’s 2017 Spring Commencement. Graduating seniors anxiously awaited their chance to cross the stage and accept their diplomas, ending years of study and research. When the ceremony was over, under perfectly blue skies, nearly 950 graduating seniors and family members spilled out on to the Kress Events Center lawn adding up to a huge Phoenix-family celebration.
UW-Green Bay celebrated its first engineering technology graduates and its largest Master’s Degree class in its history. Community member Judy Crain was honored, as was Prof. Brian Sutton, who gave up the microphone after 17 years and having read nearly 15,000 names of students accepting their diplomas.
Congratulations graduates and to those who helped prepare them for this monumental occasion.
