A “Solving NEW Challenges” business idea pitch competition hosted by UW-Green Bay’s Cofrin School of Business was held at Titletown Tech on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Sponsored by the Dental City Competitive Spark Endowment, this annual competition asks students to solve challenges facing Northeastern Wisconsin (NEW). First place went to Tyrone Powell for the business idea Unext, a job searching platform that emphasizes internship, volunteer, and job shadowing opportunities in addition to full-time careers. Second place went to Sydney Gang for the business idea Skip the Warm-Up, a heated knee sleeve that allows users to apply heat while working out to save time and aid in pain reduction. Third place went to Matthew Miller for the business idea NanoEx, a browser extension that helps build community among website users outside of mainstream social media platforms. As an added bonus to the pitch competition, all the attendees also got to enjoy a tour of the building.
