Photos: Draft Day a winner
Nearly 200 local high school juniors joined University staff, faculty and student volunteers at Lambeau Field Friday, April 27 for a fast-paced interactive day of learning about post-secondary education options. Students in attendance rotated through “booths and drills” and learned about the admissions process (Enter the Draft), living on campus and dining (Training Camp), participating in student life (Special Teams), majors and correlating career paths (Find Your Position), two-year options (Triple Option), studying abroad (Away Games) and more… and were able to connect with current students who served as “coaches,” leading the high school juniors through the day.
The informative day capped off with words from Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers Kicker, over lunch and the opportunity to get a photo with Phlash and Crosby and sign a “Letter of Intent” along side Crosby, promising to commit to the college process.
“The creativity and energy and pure fun you brought to the event — and put on display for all in attendance — was magnificent,” said a local school administrator about the UW-Green Bay-powered Lambeau Field event.
