Photo gallery: 2009 Academic Excellence Symposium
The eighth annual Academic Excellence Symposium at UW-Green Bay featured 82 students with 48 projects, ranging from chemistry to photography.
Students looked at creating a synthetic compound that could help cure cancer. Others created masterful works of art. Some looked at how children learned, or at marine ecosystems in Panama.
Participating students displayed posters and performed musical selections to showcase their research and creative work. Presenters explained their projects to visitors.
Academic programs represented at the symposium were Arts and Visual Design, Business Administration, Human Biology, Human Development, Education, Natural and Applied Sciences, Public and Environmental Affairs, Social Change and Development, and Social Work.
UW-Green Bay faculty and staff members nominated students for the symposium.
