About 60 UW-Green Bay retirees and their spouses gathered to celebrate the 18th Annual Retiree’s Banquet held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, in the UW-Green Bay, University Union, Phoenix Rooms.

Festivities began with a social hour and dinner. President Pat Przybelski’s remarks included an announcement of the Retiree Association Board Scholarship.  Jessica Hannon, a junior majoring in Human Biology and an aspiring veterinarian, was this year’s recipient of the thousand-dollar award. Although Hannon was unable to attend, her thank you note, which was read to the group, received warm applause.

Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, Mathew Dornbush, was the guest speaker. Dornbush spoke about current challenges and opportunities in higher education. He highlighted UW-Green Bay’s recent accomplishments and opportunities, positioning the University for sustained success in the future.
