De Pere tea shop thrives under UWGB student Jennifer Nowicki’s continuous cultivation
USA Today Network-Wisconsin had a nice column this week about UW-Green Bay graduate finding business success. “The owner of Cultivate Taste in De Pere, Jennifer Nowicki’s ’02 (Business Administration) business includes fine tea events for almost any occasion, tea classes and an online gift shop. Having recently been awarded honorable mention in a business competition at UW-Green Bay where she is a student, she was asked why she is taking entrepreneurship and business classes when she has 25 years of experience in the gourmet food industry. “I went back to school to complete my major in business administration,” she said. “With the entrepreneurship classes, I feel like it will help my business grow. In the classes, I am given examples and ideas of what other businesses are doing and that allows me to look at things from different angles.”
