Last call: Workshop to Foster a More Diverse Campus Community
Seats are available for the upcoming workshop, Analyzing and Understanding Systemic Racism, sponsored by the College of Health, Education and Social Welfare. Register today. The deadline is Friday, May 12. The workshop is on campus May 22 to 24, free of charge and includes lunch each day. This is an opportunity to gather a collective with a shared knowledge and energy to part of growing a campus culture that is inclusive and welcoming. Join with colleagues from across campus to look critically at the historic development of institutional racism, considering principles of organizing and social/cultural change and identifying “next steps” for our campus to make positive changes in this effort. Last day to register is Friday, May 12.
Workshop schedule:
-Monday May 22: 5 to 8 p.m. Session with snacks and beverages
-Tuesday May 23: 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Noon to 1 p.m. lunch)
-Wednesday May 24: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Noon to 1 p.m. lunch)
