UWGB group collecting for Slovakia’s needy
A group of 30 students, including 19 nurses who are completing their Public Health Certification, along with UW-Green Bay faculty members Illene Cupit, Sarah Meredith Livingston and Janet Reilly, will be traveling abroad to Slovakia this summer. It’s a Study Abroad interdisciplinary service-learning trip (Health and Social Justice in Slovakia). The nation is rich in cultural heritage but has distinct vulnerable populations in need of the most basic necessities. The group asks for the help of the campus community for donations they can bring with them as they travel. Bins are located in the Office of International Education, on the Plaza Level of the Cofrin Library and outside the Corner Store in the University Union. Donations will be accepted through July 13.
