Cavs call on Keifer Sykes

Former Phoenix standout Keifer Sykes was not among the 60 players selected in the NBA draft Thursday night. But Sykes confirmed minutes after the draft that he would be signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is expected to be on their summer roster. Sykes would have been the sixth player in UWGB history to be drafted, following Tom Anderson (1978), Ron Ripley (1979), Tony Bennett (1992), Jeff Nordgaard (1996) and most recently, Alec Brown (2014).
