Weidner Center announces 2015-16 Stage Doors Series for kids


The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts has announced the 2015-2016 Stage Doors Education Series, providing learning opportunities for students visiting UW-Green Bay from more than 60 cities throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. The series runs November through April with 10 titles and a total of 19 performances. The Weidner Center will continue its educational partnership with The Children’s Museum of Green Bay, and students attending select performances have the option to participate in a full day of activities, interactive learning and special hands-on projects related to each show. Four events in the series, Dog Loves Books, Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, Skippyjon Jones Snow What and Chicken Dance are part of that program. The lineup:
Nov. 3 — Dog Loves Books
Nov. 6 — Cirque Mechanics Pedal Punk
Jan. 29 — Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny
Feb. 11 — Walk On: The Story of Rosa Parks
Feb. 23 — Bill Blagg’s The Science of Magic
March 3 — Skippyjon Jones Snow What
April 5 — Alexander Who’s Not Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move
April 6 — Chicken Dance
April 20 — Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse
April 26 — The Lightning Thief
