The Brown County Board of Supervisors voted Wednesday to authorize up to $1 million for a new video scoreboard at the Resch Center, the community facility that is home to Phoenix men’s basketball. The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that UW-Green Bay Athletics Director Mary Ellen Gillespie spoke at the meeting and called the current video board “the worst in the Horizon League.” Gillespie said the existing scoreboard impedes the school’s “ability to generate additional revenue… (and its) home court advantage.”
