Alumna Fleurant honored for heart health work

Paula Fleurant, a registered nurse who earned her bachelor’s (1975) and master’s (1986) from UW-Green Bay, was honored by the American Heart/Stroke Association. Fleurant received the 2014 Go Red for Women Heart & Stroke Hero recognition Saturday, April 12 at the Oneida Country Club, during the 2014 Heart Heroes Awards and Ball. Fleurant was honored for her active role in educating women about heart disease, both in her career as a nurse and her continuous devotion to the cause as a volunteer. She poses here with her husband, Ken Fleurant, who retired in 2006 from the French and Humanistic Studies programs at UW-Green Bay.
