Finalists for System president talk vision during videoconferences
As we’ve told you here previously, the three finalists for the position of UW System president participated in statewide videoconference forums Monday (Jan. 6) talking about their views on a variety of issues. Ray Cross of UW Colleges and UW-Extension, Peter Garland of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and Robert King of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education are the finalists vying to replace Kevin Reilly, whose tenure as System president ended at the end of 2013. Several news outlets covered the videoconference sessions and their remarks on issues including transparency, relationship of the flagship to other institutions and the value of a liberal arts education.
