Tomorrow’s new grads get a handshake, welcome and magnet from Alumni
They call it the Alumni Receiving Line: a dozen or couple dozen UW-Green Bay alumni will volunteer their time Saturday to welcome new grads into the Alumni Association. They’ll station themselves near the exits of the Cofrin Family Hall after the ceremony to congratulate the grads, presenting them with alumni info as well as an official UW-Green Bay magnet perfect for posting commencement photos on their refrigerators at home. Staff member Kari Moody, liaison to the Alumni Association, says all alumni who take part receive a 360ᵒ of PRIDE t-shirt. “It’s a great time,” she says. “We hold signs and banners and really work to make our alumni feel special.”
