WWHEL leadership talks: Gender equity case, ‘Power of Introverts’

Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership has generously funded a second year of leadership book discussions for the UW-Green Bay campus. Two discussion groups will be held during the 2013-2014 academic year. The first will be Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., room to be determined. The session will include discussing a case study on gender equity from Harvard Business School; the case study must be read before the session and can be found at www.nytimes.com/2013/09/08/education/harvard-case-study-gender-equity.html?emc=etal, or request a copy from Sue Mattison, WWHEL campus representative. Please bring your lunch; cookies and drinks will be provided. During spring semester (date to be determined) the topic will be leadership lessons — in general and as they apply to women — from the book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Please contact Mattison at mattisos@uwgb.edu if you would like to participate in the first discussion on Nov. 19.
