Lawton Gallery to host student art exhibit

GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will host its second of two student art exhibitions this year with works done by graduating seniors.

The Lawton Gallery on the UW-Green Bay campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive, will display works by five senior artists from May 3 until May 14. The opening reception is Sunday, May 3, from 2-4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Regular gallery hours are from Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery is located on the second floor of Theatre Hall.

The five student artists include:

• Kasey J. Hembel, Sturgeon Bay, displaying a photographic installation
• Kimberly Schofield, Merrill, displaying a series of intaglio prints
• Drew Schmidt, Fremont, displaying four sculptural works
• Carmen Schmitz, Green Bay, displaying jewelry pieces
• Mary K. White, Sturgeon Bay, displaying a site-specific long-wall installation with mixed media
