Music students visit Brazil

UW-Green Bay Music students and faculty pose during some downtime during the group’s recent travel experience in Brazil. The photo was taken at the renowned Bosque Zoo in Ribeirao Preto. Lead organizer for the trip was Music Prof. David Severtsen. Faculty colleague Courtney Sherman was involved as well, along with Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston. It was the second straight year that Meredith Livingston and Severtsen had traveled to Brazil. The previous year, along with jazz pianist Chris Salerno, they taught and performed at the University of Sao Paulo-Ribeirao Preto, and mezzo-soprano Meredith Livingston performed with the University of Sao Paulo Orchestra. She established the initial connections with the aid of a Fulbright award.
