UW-Green Bay Outreach offers Eco U: Biodiversity summer camp July 14-17

Students entering grades 10 through 12 in fall 2013 can enroll now for the Eco U: Biodiversity Camp, Sunday July 14-Wednesday July 17, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Campers will investigate natural and not-so-natural areas on the beautiful UW-Green Bay campus, and in Brown and Door Counties. Students can explore careers as an ecologist, biologist, botanist, environmental scientist, naturalist, land steward/manager, science teacher, lab technician and more.

Led by UW-Green Bay’s expert natural resources faculty, Eco U: Biodiversity will allow campers to learn through fieldwork and laboratory and classroom experiences while learning about the differences in plants, insects, and animals living in healthy, natural environments — and those that have been disturbed by human activity and invasive species. Campers have the option to attend this fun, challenging and eye-opening camp for one unit of college credit.

Students can attend as commuters or as residents living in UW-Green Bay student housing. The camp fee is $279 for commuters. Resident students will pay $479, which includes instruction, room and board, counselor supervision and transportation to evening activities.
