Tickets on sale now for production of Broadway classic
The Weidner Center is announcing that tickets sales have begun for the University production of “Cabaret” on Friday and Saturday evening, April 20 and 21. It’s the first time in a decade the Theatre and Music programs have collaborated to mount a major musical on the Weidner’s mainstage, and they’re expecting strong support from campus and community. Set in the seedy Kit Kat Klub in 1930 Berlin, “Cabaret” premiered on Broadway in 1966, sweeping the Tony Awards. A 1972 film starring Liza Minnelli and Joel Gray was likewise a hit. Tickets are in the $25-$30 range with discounts for seniors, students and groups of 10 or more. Visit the ticket office in the Union or (920) 465-2400.
