Student Life hosts speaker, film on ‘Invisible Children’ of Uganda war
At 7 p.m. this Thursday (April 14) in the Christie Theatres, representatives from the Invisible Children Organization will visit for a screening of the new film “Tony” depicting the story of the boys living in Uganda during what is described as the longest war in African history. A special guest presenting after the screening is David Okech Ocitti, a student at the University of Uganda and a legacy scholarship recipient through the Invisible Children Foundation, which focuses on increasing access to post-primary education, improving learning environments, and providing mentoring from local leaders.
