Call for 2023-24 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Consultant Program

Thanks to generous support from Vice Chancellors Dr. Kate Burns and Dr. Dawn Crim, The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) is excited to announce that UWGB’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Consultant program is now accepting applications from instructors for the 2023-24 academic year! The program defines diversity broadly and has included projects on student parent advocacy, first generation college students, Indigenous pedagogies, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Now entering its third year, the EDI Consultant program has evolved and will look a bit different this year with the introduction of two separate tiers for applicants. The program is accepting calls for both tiers with the hope that UWGB can support both instructors with advanced skills in inclusive pedagogies, as well as those who have less experience but who want to learn more. In both tiers, however, the goals remain the same: to increase UWGB’s use of evidence-based inclusive and equity-minded teaching strategies, reduce equity gaps, and promote an academic environment in which all students feel welcome and have the opportunity to succeed. Visit the CATL blog to read the full call and apply by Sept. 25!
