‘Green’ font continues to get national ink, airtime

Now that the Associated Press has picked up the story, last week’s announcement by Computing and Information Technology that UW-Green Bay will use Century Gothic as the default e-mail typeface continues to generate coverage. Diane Blohowiak of CIT has been quoted by USA Today, the Washington Post and others. She’s estimating that if Purchasing says the institution buys about 1,000 ink and toner cartridges per year, at a total cost of roughly $100,000, to save even a few percentage points saves thousands annually, perhaps $5,000 to $10,000.
