UW System to accept transfers from tech college associate’s degree recipients | WLUK
MADISON (WLUK) — Students who earn associate’s degrees at eight technical colleges in Wisconsin will be able to transfer to the state’s public universities. The University of Wisconsin System announced Friday that those who earn associate of arts or science degrees in liberal studies will be able to transfer to UW schools with junior standing. The programs are made up of 60 credits, of which 39-41 are general education and 19-21 are electives. The approval of the liberal arts transfer associate degrees smooths the transfer pathway at a time when students seek multiple avenues to a higher education,” UW System Interim President Michael J. Falbo said in a news release. “It’s a sign of what we can do when we work together and put students first.”
