Linothorax Project wins ‘best poster,' media attention

The UW-Green Bay Linothorax Project, a faculty/student research project involving the replication of ancient Greek armor worn by the soldiers of Alexander the Great, is drawing national attention. Prof. Greg Aldrete (Humanistic Studies) reports that he and graduate Scott Bartell recently presented a poster summarizing their research, which was chosen “Best Poster” at the annual meeting of Archaeological Institute of America held in Anaheim, Calif.

In addition to that significant honor, the poster caught the attention of the Discovery Channel, which has placed on its website a story about the Linothorax Project. Here’s a link to that story.
