New honors for Prof. Gurung

UW-Green Bay Prof. Regan A.R. Gurung of Human Development and psychology has been elected a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science by that group’s board of directors for “sustained outstanding contributions to the science of psychology.” He was just honored in November as Wisconsin Professor of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. He is also the president-elect of the Society for Teaching of Psychology, which is a division of the American Psychological Association, where he also holds fellow status. The Society has more than 4,000 members nationwide and promotes excellence in the teaching and learning of psychology. He will become president in 2011.
