Defense key to victory over South Dakota

With a stingy defense that allowed host South Dakota to make only 39 percent of its shots, the UW-Green Bay women’s basketball squad scored a 53-40 win Sunday. Guard Heather Golden scored a game-high 14 points for the Phoenix (2-0). The team will play its home opener on Saturday (Nov. 21) against Florida International at the Kress Events Center.
