UW-Green Bay’s Opera & Musical Theatre Workshop presents ‘Mamma Mia!/Figaro!’ April 13, 2019
Green Bay, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Opera & Musical Theatre Workshop will present “Mamma Mia/Figaro!” Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Fort Howard Hall, Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public.
With music direction by Courtney Sherman and stage direction by Laura Riddle, the program includes arias from “La Serva Padrona,” “L’incoronazione di Poppea,” “Le nozze di Figaro” and “Vanessa” and scenes from the musicals “Mame,” “Gypsy,” “Next to Normal,” “Mamma Mia” and “Heathers: The Musical.” Also featured are UW-Green Bay’s Chamber Singers, performing works directed by UW-Green Bay Music senior Lorelei Zimmerman. Participating singers are all UW-Green Bay Music or Theatre majors.

Perhaps the most versatile space in the Weidner Center, the 45’ x 54’ 200-seat, theatre-style hall features a beautiful hardwood floor and retractable seating.
