SBDC at UW-Green Bay among sponsors for Startup Weekend Green Bay, Feb. 6-8

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay is a media sponsor for Startup Weekend Green Bay, taking place Friday-Sunday, Feb. 6-8 in the Corporate Conference Center at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

This fast-paced event invites participants to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Attendees vote on and form teams around their favorite ideas, launching into a “54-hour frenzy” of business model creation, coding, designing and market validation. The weekend will conclude with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders who will offer critical feedback.

The inaugural Startup Weekend Green Bay took place Feb. 21-23, 2014, when approximately 45 participants on nine teams presented to judges during the culminating Sunday Demo Day event. More than 1,500 Startup Weekend events have taken place in 726 cities worldwide since the program’s inception, according to the organization’s website, http://startupweekend.org.
