P-G: Patron saint of lost is found

The patron saint of missing things that had gone missing this summer has been found. The statue of St. Anthony stolen from the LeMieux Chapel in the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum was located in a ditch in the Baird Creek Parkway several weeks ago. The owners of the statue, Joan and Norbert Jadin, told the Green Bay Press-Gazette that the statue would be returned to the chapel on Thursday (Oct. 1). “We’re happy to have it back,” Joan told the newspaper, noting that the statue was painted white and partially broken. A local artist made repairs and repainted the statue. Campus police Lt. Keith Rosin said that while the statue has been found, the culprit has not. Anyone with information on the theft can call Crime Stoppers at (920) 432-7867. Read article.
