Andrew Austin, Chair of Democracy and Justice Studies, will be participating in a panel discussion on interdisciplinary studies in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Oct. 19, 2017 at the Mid-South Sociological Association Conference, Interdisciplinarity: Understanding the Social World through Multiple Perspectives. He will also be presenting on the subject of Islam and Islamophobia in a session on the Sociology of Religion.
