Faculty members Marcelo Cruz and Adam Parrillo of Urban and Regional Studies are gearing up for their international Internship in Ecuador during the month of July. This is the third year in an ongoing agreement between UW-Green Bay and city officials in Tena, a rapidly growing city located in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The agreement has Profs. Cruz and Parrillo leading small groups of students from UW-Green Bay, and other state and international institutions, in research that contributes to the region’s comprehensive plan. This year, the group is undertaking the first assessment stage of a three year project involving “agropolitan” planning.
