On Saturday, Feb. 9, associate provost and history professor Andrew Kersten presented a lecture at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church of Door County, as part of the Door County Reads program. The lecture was titled “Rediscovering Brown County’s First World War Soldiers.” Kersten focused on the digital database of Brown County’s WWI soldiers that he helped create a few years ago. The site is still active and now has the oral history interviews, letters, and pictures over 1,400 soldiers. Learn more about the topic.
