Later this month, on Tuesday night, July 24, the folk band Good News featuring Prof. James Marker of the Human Biology faculty will be playing for the Schmidt Park neighborhood’s Music in the Park program.  The concert takes place at West Lions Park (St. Anthony Dr. and Curry Lane, near the former Brown County Mental Health Center) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It’s free and open seating; you might want to bring a blanket or chairs. The group does a family-oriented show with several sing-a-longs, and the music is a mix of folk, gospel, pop, bluegrass and novelty songs.
