News from CATL: Lanter presents; teaching fellows deadline approaching

CATL presented two posters at the OPID conference in Green Lake this week. Director Jennifer Lanter presented “It’s a Need to Know Situation: A Case Study of a Needs Assessment Survey for a Teaching Center,” discussing last semester’s survey that asked faculty what they would like CATL to offer. It also covered the steps that the center has taken to meet these needs, including the launch of the collaborative blog “Teaching and Learning at UWGB” (http://blog.uwgb.edu/catl). Lanter also presented “Faculty Say the Darndest Things (When They Are Students in an Online Class)” which discussed how faculty react to being students in the Center’s popular Online Teaching Fellows program.
