Prof. Anne Kok was the director of the Social Work Professional Program at UW-Green Bay when she was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2008. Memorial gifts from her family and several hundred friends, former students and colleagues established this scholarship. The UW-Green Bay Social Work unit will award one $1,000 scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year to a student who is pursuing a major in social work or related social justice field, and has a significant investment in pursuing an academic-sponsored international learning experience (e.g., study abroad, student exchange, international certificate program, etc.). Questions about the scholarship can be directed to the chair of the Social Work Program (e-mail Jolanda Sallmann or 920-465-2029). Deadline for applying for the 2012-2013 academic year is March 20, 2012. Application materials are available online.
