Krash the Kress

With food, drink, cool shirts and plenty to cheer about, UW-Green Bay season ticket holders, students, alumni, prospective students and friends, gathered for Krash the Kress last Friday (Feb. 16, 2018). The official sellout was a warm welcome for the Green Bay men’s basketball team playing its first-ever Horizon League game at the Kress Center. It was also the last home game of the season for the Phoenix men, as they recognized their senior players (and parents). In the photos… members of Greek life on campus, the Green Bandana Brigade, the always spirited Pep Band, a view from above, and more.

Where should Phoenix men play next season?

The Green Bay athletics five-year contract with the Resch Center as the host site for Green Bay men’s basketball expires at the end of this season, leaving some speculation on whether they will continue to play there or move home games to the on-campus Kress Center. The Phoenix men have played at the venue since it opened in 2002. The Krash the Kress game serves as a preview of what it would be like for the men to play at the Kress. The Green Bay Press-Gazette has the story.
