Media Advisory: Credentials required for Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 15

GREEN BAY – For the safety of attendees and guests, media credentials are required to cover the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Commencement ceremony. Details follow:

Commencement: 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, Weidner Center, UW-Green Bay

RSVP Credential Request Instruction:

To: Clif Ganyard, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs/Commencement Coordinator (ganyardc@uwgb.edu) with CC to snyderj@uwgb.edu

RSVP date: Wednesday, December 12, 2018

Pick up: Upon verification, badges can be picked up in person at Cofrin Library Suite 835 through Friday, December 14, 2018 or at the Weidner Center, prior to the ceremony.

Rationale: With the proliferation of higher-end video and still cameras in the hands of the general public, it is increasingly difficult to keep guests seated and out of the aisles when they see other photographers/videographers moving freely about. We hope a prominent, visible “media pass” for authorized professionals will avoid any confusion.

Reminders: While you are photographing or videotaping any part of the ceremony, we ask for your cooperation in keeping all aisles and auditorium entrances clear for the graduates, Color Guard and other participants. This is especially important during the processional, recessional and diploma awarding portions of the ceremony.

Those who are issued a media pass for the commencement ceremony are welcome to keep the pass for use at future ceremonies. We will simply need to verify your ID shortly before the next event. Otherwise, media credentials can be returned to the media check-in table following the event. We look forward to working with you!

Clif Ganyard, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs/Commencement Coordinator
