UW-Green Bay presents 39th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition beginning Nov. 17
The Lawton Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will present its 39th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, featuring the work of nearly 30 artists, from Nov. 17-Dec. 8. The Lawton will be closed for Thanksgiving break, Nov. 24-26.
The show will open with a reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, with awards announced at 5 p.m. The gallery is located in Theatre Hall on the UW-Green Bay campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.
Forty-nine student artists submitted 107 works for the show, and 29 artists had a total of 46 works accepted. David Damkoehler, Professor Emeritus of Arts and Visual Design, was the juror for the show.
The 2011 student exhibition features a variety of works in different media, including oil paintings, different types of prints, graphic design pieces, metals, watercolor and more. A photo gallery from the 2010 show can be viewed online at www.uwgb.edu/lawton/38Juried.html.
The Lawton Gallery is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during the fall and spring semesters. All gallery events are free and open to the public.
