Grants available for SBDC business-plan education

The UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center is now accepting grant applications for tuition reimbursement in the SBDC’s Entrepreneurial Training Program.

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce will provide 75 percent tuition reimbursement grant through the Small Business Development Center to qualified candidates prior to starting coursework.

Grant applications can be completed online at http://wenportal.org/grant_applications/ and clicking on the Entrepreneurial Training Program link.  Grant applications can also be requested through the Small Business Development Center.  Grant requirements include attending the EPT program and submitting a business plan.

The Entrepreneurship Training Program offered by the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center is a comprehensive series of classes and individual coaching designed to help entrepreneurs refine their business concept and attract financing. The goal is to complete a business plan that new or existing businesses can use to improve business management, apply for financing, or develop new strategic initiatives.

The 10-week program is offered in Green Bay at the Business Assistance Center, 2701 Larsen Road.    The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning October 4.
