Salerno giving faculty saxophone recital

GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Weidner Center for the Performing Arts will host a faculty recital on Sept. 26, 2009.

The recital features Prof. John Salerno playing the saxophone. Salerno teaches saxophone, composition and jazz-related courses on campus and is a published composer and arranger of music.

As a saxophonist he has worked with a variety of notable groups and artists, including The Spinners, The Jacksons, Engelbert Humperdinck, Roberta Flack, Joe Williams and many others.

The free recital will be held in Fort Howard Hall inside the Weidner Center, 2420 Nicolet Drive. The performance begins at 4 p.m.
