UW-Green Bay offers Spanish for Professionals course

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Outreach Program is offering a Spanish for Professionals course this fall that will meet the needs of professionals who are in contact with Spanish-speaking customers.

The program is designed for employees in all fields of work who want to gain more knowledge of the Spanish language in order to meet the needs of their customers.

Students will have the opportunity to expand their Spanish language skills through face-to-face interaction, class work and an online supplementation. The class will consist of 30 hours of instruction overseen by UW-Green Bay Prof. Cristina Ortiz and classroom teachers Amelia Canilho and Karla Weibel.

The course is from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays (Oct. 4, Nov.1, Nov. 15 and Dec. 6) in two locations. One class will be held in Wood Hall, rooms 213 and 214, on the UW-Green Bay Campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive. The other will be held in the executive boardroom at the Stone Harbor Resort, 107 N. First Ave., Sturgeon Bay.

Registration fees are $289 for non-credit instruction; $423.68 for two undergraduate credits; and $714.04 for two graduate credits.
