New leadership courses announced in SBDC at UW-Green Bay program

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will present its 2014-15 Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program beginning in September and concluding in June 2015.

Designed for managers who are looking to build leadership skills and advance their businesses, the certificate program and its component courses provide practical and interactive content that attendees can immediately integrate into their workplace leadership. The flexible program is designed for individuals who are just starting out on their leadership path, as well as more seasoned leaders who wish to improve upon specific skills.

Participants who wish to earn a Supervisory Leadership Certificate will be required to attend the two Core programs, Supervisory Leadership I and Supervisory Leadership II, as well as their choice of several elective programs within three years. However, individuals may take courses whether or not they intend to pursue the certificate, and the 2014-15 offerings include many new one-day course options. These include new courses Lead with Humor (and Improv); Managing a Diverse Workforce; Time Management and Delegation; Hiring Wisely; Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers; and Leading Through Change. A complete list of courses and a downloadable brochure are available at www.uwgb.edu/sbdc/html/programs.asp.
