UW-Green Bay’s Lifelong Learning Institute Caters to the Curious

Green Bay, Wis. — UW-Green Bay’s Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) goes live today with their catalog of available classes for Fall 2022. The headline on the catalog is “Forward Together,” which nods to LLI’s rich volunteer history, a history that caters to the curious learner.

LLI has created an exciting line-up of 222 in-person courses, live and recorded online classes, outdoor classes and tours. Course topics include arts, crafts, culinary, fitness, science and nature, and more. Special interest courses offer self-help “Understanding our Dreams” and one-of-a-kind experiences “Be a Blacksmith for a Day!” Members may also choose to tour local businesses, breweries or wineries.

Heidi Jahnke, new Program Specialist for LLI, says, “I am blown away by our Lifelong Learning Program. There are truly classes for everyone, of every level and every interest. Our members and volunteers are fabulous, generous people who make this program so successful. I am excited for the start of the new academic year and all of the engaging classes, social events and travel opportunities to come. We are looking forward to welcoming back our returning members and meeting our new members this semester.”

Registration is completely online. A dazzling 80-page catalog of classes is available today at https://www.uwgb.edu/lli/and at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 1, registration will open. Interested individuals are encouraged to register early for the best selection. Courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You must join as a member to take courses.

The impressive line-up of LLI courses is put together by volunteer members serving on curriculum committees in each UW-Green Bay campus location: Green Bay, Manitowoc/Sheboygan and Marinette. They are inspired by what’s happening in the world, what’s trending and what interests are emerging for members.

Members can mix and match formats and enjoy the quality classes LLI is known for, a quality reflected in LLI instructors, who represent UW-Green Bay faculty and expert enthusiasts in the community.

Later this week LLI is hosting intro events introducing the community to what they will experience as members of Lifelong Learning Institute.

Manitowoc – Thursday, July 21, 10 a.m., Manitowoc Campus, Room H102
