UW-Green Bay Chorale to perform works from wide variety of composers May 3
The UW-Green Bay Chorale, under the direction of Associate Prof. Randall Meder, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 in the Cofrin Family (main) Hall at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.
The group will present works from such composers as William Byrd, Thomas Tomkins, Johann Sebastian Bach and Eric Whitacre, spanning several centuries in a program with plenty of variety in time and style. Accompanied on piano and harpsichord by Assistant Prof. David Severtson, the Chorale also will welcome four UW-Green Bay student instrumentalists to assist during the concert.
The Chorale performance marks the 32nd concert of the 2012-13 academic year for UW-Green Bay Music, an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
